Here's how we approach them. ## On light A 76mm louvre is the sweet spot for bedrooms. Closed tight, it blocks the great majority of street and morning light. For truly dark sleep, pair shutters with a blackout cellular blind behind — most clients with east-facing bedrooms in Newcastle take this combination. ## On privacy Tier-on-tier gives you the cleanest split: open the top half to let light in, keep the bottom half closed for permanent privacy. It's the most-requested bedroom configuration we fit. ## Colour matters more than people think Bright white shutters can feel clinical in a bedroom.
